Come join the fun, fireworks and chili at beautiful Treasure Island!!

Cruise in on Monday mid-morning and explore the island, hike up to the Coast Guard station on neighbor Yerba Buena Island, walk around the busy new development going on everywhere, and have such at any of several cool new eateries.

Monday afternoon at 4PM the TIYC opens. We'll gather there for a cocktail with our Treasure Island YC friends, and then convene at 6PM sharp for the Chili Cookoff! Guests will pay $15 to attend, but only $10 if you bring your chili!!

Fireworks!

For the Fireworks we will have the best seats in the house! Independence Day festivities in San Francisco attract thousands of people to the waterfront areas. The biggest highlight of the day is the spectacular fireworks display over the bay. Fourth of July fireworks display in San Francisco is performed in two synced sets starting about 9:30PM. One set is launched at the end of the Municipal Pier, the other—from the barges in front of Pier 39. Breathtaking fireworks last for about 30 minutes, and you can spot them from different corners around the city.

Details

Plan to leave the Cay around 10AM-ish, although we'll fine-tune departure and arrival based on updated weather and tide as we get closer to the date. Return is planned for Tuesday morning, specifics TBA.

Entering Clipper Cove and Docking at the Marina

First the marina. If you are coming by boat and have registered at this site, I will have made a slip reservation for you. If not, please contact Anthony Cirillo at 415 981-2416 and he will take care of you.

If coming by car, please note the parking restrictions as a lot of the roadway and parking is off-limits due to the massive construction going on.

Entering Clipper Cove

When entering and leaving Clipper Cove, be advised that it gets mighty shallow (we're talking 3'!) on the South side of the entrance (see the diagram below.) Best advice is to stay on the North side all the way in, where you should see 5' - 9' of water all the way to the docks. If we receive more detailed advice I will pass along to members.
