Learn how a community of over 200 volunteers, including many TYC members, built the 132’ educational tall ship Matthew Turner in Sausalito over the past seven years.
A traditional sailing ship for the 21st century, her renewable technology extends from her sustainable wooden construction to state-of-the-art bio-fueled generators and a hybrid propulsion system regenerating power under sail.
Her purpose is to connect people of all ages to the sea through sailing. She will serve as an educational platform for Bay Area youth.
