Chili Cook-off Details

Sign up to be a Chili chef on-line or send Tracy Hansen an email at tjhansen@comcast.net.
Name your chili and bring a sign or make at TYC by hand on Sunday.
Please bring decorations if you want to decorate the table where you will be serving up your Chili.

What to Bring:

  1. Bring your pre-cooked Chili in a crockpot or other container that will keep it warm. Tables will be set up in the club, with power cords, to allow you to plug in crockpot.
  2. We will provide serving ladles , 4 oz. cups tasting cups, cheese, sour cream and onions.
  3. If you have a power strip and/or power cord you could bring that will be helpful as well.

When: Set up your Chili Creation before 3 pm. Tasting will start at 3 pm.

Remind people to vote for your chili when you serve up a taste.
Tasters will vote with beans provided in the tasting kits we are selling.
There will be a container on your table to collect beans from tasters.
At the end of the tasting, we will count the beans you receive.

Who: Tasters will be supplied 4 oz. containers to be used for tasting.

How: Each contestant will have a spot to set up your Chili.

Initially, you will serve the chili to participants. At some point, it will be self-service.
Don't forget to encourage tasters to vote for your chili.
Take some time to out to taste the others chili.

FREE: Remember, since you brought a chili, you will get the tasting kit at no charge.
