General Meeting and Race Clinic

A Race Clinic will be held for those interested in learning more about racing at TYC.

• Bar Opens:  5:30
• Papa Murphy's Pizza, salad and dessert:  6:00
• Meeting:  7 pm.
  
• RSVP appreciated for pizza planning, but not required.

The Race Clinic will cover topics including:

Part 1 – Thinking about racing?  Here’s how to enjoy it and not be scared (or scare the rest of the sailors).

• Basic Rules
• 10 rules of Beer Can Racing (an interpretation of the rules for Friday Night Racing!)
• What the Race Committee is doing while you are having fun!
  

Part 2 – Running Friday Night Racing

• How to RC Friday Night Racing
• What the racers are looking for
• How to handle Ollie!  (Our automated race starting system)
• Making the USCG our friends – communicating with Vessel Traffic Service
