This club has been off our destination list for at least a couple of years because of harbor depth issues. Now a thing of the past, it was recently dredged to 10 feet.

The club has its own visitors' dock at which power boats can stern tie. Sailboats may need to side tie, but there is usually ample room in the harbor.

As a previous member of this club, I can attest to it being a fun-loving bunch, and will show great hospitality. So I encourage all cruisers, either first timers or veterans to sign up and join us.

Those coming Friday will are welcome to join LLYC members for a tri-tip dinner for $15. Deadline for reservations: Tuesday, July 5.

Saturday dinner for cruisers, LLYC members, and other guests: Roast pork with seasonal vegetables, mashed potatoes, salad, rolls, and seasonal fruit cobbler at $25.

For local amenities please refer to the Loch Lomond Marina site. In particular, Andy's Market is still around despite the major renovation the area is undergoing. Those who have not been there recently will find that the condominium development appears to have taken over the entire neighborhood.

A word of caution regarding San Rafael Canal channel: While LL marina was recently dredged to 10', the same cannot be said for the main channel (dredged to 5' about two years ago). However, tides will be reasonably favorable, low tide at 1000 on Friday, and rising thereafter, and roughly an hour later each successive day. For power boats there should be no problem. Sailors are advised to time their entries and departures accordingly.
