Petaluma YC Cruise

Downtown Petaluma, always a fabulous destination, offers something special this year:  A weekend of activities, meals and a big party at Petaluma Yacht Club.

Register and pay for PYC's weekend by May 20.  Or else just enjoy the many other things to do in the heart of this lively city: restaurants, antiquing, and touring the local Victorian architecture.  This weekend also features the 2nd Annual Sonoma Home Brewers Competition, with local beer and cheese, live music, food trucks and more.

PYC's weekend activities include:

• Friday: Cocktail contest, potluck appetizers at the club, music and dancing.
  
• Saturday: Continental breakfast, Poker Walk with prizes, full dinner, Hollywood costume contest, and live music with the fabulous David Martin's House Party band.
• Sunday: Full breakfast, presentation of the colors with attending veterans, and team games.
• Monday: Club and bar open in the morning.

Registration: For the PYC activities, you must register and pay by May 20. The $60 fee ($25 for children under 13) includes the dinner, band, both breakfasts and all other activities and prizes.

If you only want to come for the cruise, you can register at any time.

Notices to cruisers:

• The turning basin is first come, first served.  PYC advises that they don't run out of space, but we encourage cruisers to get there as early as possible Friday, if not on Thursday.  Note the low mid-day tides.*
• Bridge opens only on 4 hours advance notice.  In the past they've been very accommodating, but we will need to coordinate our group just in case this year is different
  
• Keep to the center of the old channel when transiting the US 101 bridge at the new Petaluma Marina.  SMART train construction has widened the waterway but considerable debris will remain until the next Corps of Engineers dredging.
